One of the biggest sellout songs of the 80s:

"Joanna" by Kool and the Gang

I hate that one. Definately one of Kool and the Gang's worst.

(Band Meeting)

(Kool) "Listen Gang. We all have house notes and these nice cars we have to pay for. "Jungle Boogie" is a great song but we need some of that Lionel Richie money. So we can have something for a rainy day.

(Gang member) Damn, Kool. With all that curl activator flying it's a rainy day now. S***!

(Kool) "Sorry man. Any suggestions guys?"

(JT) Hey man, I got this tune. Check this out.

The Carpenters version is better. They changed the lyrics and took the undertones of the song out. You can look up the Sedaka/Greenfield bios for that info.

Here's Clay's Aunt uh, I mean Uncle.

Y'all know I can't see those videos. I clicked on some of the links and got the song titles though....until one of the videos wanted to start playing and my computer froze up and I had to unplug it to to unfreeze it. lol

Anyway, The Audience, I like "We Got The Beat" and "Saturday Night", and maybe one of the others you posted. You're right though, I have always hated that damn.....

I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden.

Damn, that brought back some horrible memories from the 1970s. Another bad memory was Tammy Wynette's "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" and "Stand By Your Man". lol

Carlcrenshaw, I love "Afternoon Delight". I can tolerate "Muskrat Love" but I love "Love Will Keep Us Together". You're right though, I hate Air Supply.
