In lieu of Luciano Pavarotti'd death I give you... this fantastic new Canadian singer. Her name is Patrizia and she is a rock-soprano. Pavarotti always mixed pop with opera...well Patrizia takes it a bit further with a heavy rock sound.
She has quite the following in Canada and now the UK. Check out the videos on youtube. I personally think she is awesome. I have seen her live and she really is amazing. http://www.youtube.com/wa...lHYXZRrw64 http://www.youtube.com/wa...SSucj6ZPGQ http://www.youtube.com/wa...aYTcOnoBhs

Ha!
Nina Hagen beat that chick to this in 1979. Natureträne is sure something that you either hate or like, but to me, the album version is still one of the most beautiful vocalisations ever. The lyric is horribly beautiful and poetic, the way Nina Hagen LIVES the lyrics... wow. I have been looking for a clip that uses the original album version, but all I could find is; http://www.youtube.com/wa...4rP1oz-0O4

Well it is a matter of taste. I personally do not like Nina Hagen but I respect her artistry.

I found another video of Patrizia's called Desperation. It is beautiful and heart wrenching.
