here you go, kiddies. candy shop doesn't sound finished (thank God), so i'm hoping its only at the demo stage. i still don't like the beat goes on. the lyrics are horrendous...it's like she decided to think of as many cliches as possible and throw them into one song. ugh.

if this is indicative of the new cd, i won't be into it. i'll check the live show out but this sounds like its shaping up to be a cd to skip.

I hope this does not make it to the album. It is awful. Madonna cannot hit those high notes as she used to.

But I still think this is a smokescreen. None of us have heard the Timbaland and Stuart Price tracks; I bet those are good.

the common rumor is candy shop has been left off the album.

hmmm If that's true, then I wonder why WB is still trying hard to keep the song off the net? They keep getting the Youtube fan vids punted. Maybe it's just the principle of the matter!? lol

Madge is notorious for trying to keep all nonoffical tracks out of the public.

hince few bsides and no unreleased tracks on any collection.

Awhile back,we heard that there were three songs that probably wouldn't be on the album:

Candy Shop
Hit It Hard
Do I Care?

Madonna was said to be "over them".It's obvious that she's just recording a ton of tracks and hasn't yet finalized the tracklist yet.It was recently revealed that she has recorded 22 songs but is only gonna include 14 tracks on the album.

I really think that this new CD will divide her fanbase, kinda like 'Bedtime Stories'.Alot of hardcore fans don't care for that album. They see it as a "sellout" and they'll probably say the same thing about the new album.Madonna's core audience doesn't even listen to R&B.They prefer her to stick to electronica/dance.On the other hand, this album could reach people beyond her fanbase, like 'Bedtime Stories' did.

It's all part of being an artist, though. You have to switch it up,try some new beats. Some will dig it,some won't.

I never really thought about it that way. I guess because her audience is so diverse and from my experience people like Madonna for Madonna, not because of the genre of her albums. Maybe I’m naïve. I thought some albums weren’t favorites because the songs weren’t strong not because they were Europ pop or especially R&B tinged.shrug

I suddenly feel sad.

i think at this point, madonna is beyond reaching beyond her fanbase. she's f'n madonna...the whole world is her fanbase, lol! she just wants to resonate with young people and that's almost always a mistake when you're an established act. you tend to turn off the people who already like you and the young kids are unable to identify with a 50 year old. lol

then again, she's madonna and everybody thinks she's super cool. even 15 year olds. we shall see...

funny, for the whole world being her fan base, I only get exposed to anything madonna by unintetionally peaking in hear and seeing it.
Otherwise she is a null and void exhistence in my life.

i obviously didn't mean every single individual human on this planet is a fan of madonna's. lol i meant she has crossed all barriers. gays, straights, men, women, kids, adults, all races...she doesn't have a determined "fanbase" so to speak.
