50 vs. Kanye on 106th & Park

LMAO@ 50 after he got through performing "I Get Money" saying "Kanye can't do that" like he did something special. Kanye rocked Champion/You Can't Tell Me Nothin' with no hype man. I bet that surprise performance shocked "Fiddy". These two have marketed their asses off. Its kinda sad, actually. People should be excited about the music, not things like this "CVlash of the Titans" scheme...but I digress.
Any thoughts on the show?

I stay far away from 106th & park mainly because of that girl Roxy that hosts it, if she still does, her voice is so annoying and she is quite DUMB in person too. I have to disagree that these two have marketed their asses off, both labels have done that for them, just popping up on an award show or an interview show or Leno and Letterman is not working it. As far as the music, i heard both cds once about a week ago from a friend that works at a label and he had the promos, and im not impressed, Kanye is more diverse with his sounds and 50 is pretty boring, and now he just has guests on his cd so he can get away from the fake "gangsta" image he had and appeal to more people. But with Kanye its still hard for me to seperate his mouth from his music, and i think the reason is because he's just not smart with his words. I would have less of a problem with him if he was mouthing off about something important as opposed to "damn im not coming here anymore unless i win" if he would mouth off about the shit industry he is part of then i would have a little bit more tolerance of him, but until he makes that move he loses me.

I will be picking up kanye's cd tomorrow. I did not get to see fifty's segment and gladly. I will record it in the morning. I did get to see most of kanye's segment. He premiered his new video featuring t-pain. I forgot the name of the song already but he makes reference to 50 on the song. The song is pretty tight and would have been without t-pain who really adds nothing to it.
It seemed like 50 was in denial on the show after they brought both rappers back out for the final 10 minutes. The crowd seemed pro kanye. I am interested to see the reaction fifty got during his performance on the show.
Lyrically this battle would be a mismatch. Kanye is far better lyrically. The only chance fifty got is to beat him in record sales because kanye will slay him on the mike in his sleep. biggrin

Man a great show, i bought both LP's, 50 LP is dissappointing, not because of the gangsta tracks, but because 50 should have removed Fully Loaded Clip, Amusement Park, and Straight to the Bank off the LP, and replaced them with some other material, also he should have spaced out his Lp a lil better.Kanye's Lp is some emo rap, that Jay-z track(Big Brother) is a sasuage fest, knowing that it was Dame that wanted to sign Kanye and Jay-z didn't want him as a rapper.Good LP, and good for hip hop, that you have two different rappers with different styles but with the same arrogance, now if some of those lyrical wizards could use some swagger in there great lyrics

50 had me dying when he said "EVEN YOUR BIG BROTHER AIN'T COMPETITION"

I've listened to both CD's.

KW - Don't care for his voice and his flow is predictible. I don't think I really ever need to listen to it again (unless they release an instrumental version).

50 - The Akon and the Robin Thicke tracks are future hits. I Get Money is just picking up more momentum - That track is hot. Ayo is great too, but not sure radio is ready for it.

KW will outsell 50 first week - he's just got more radio and we love to see stars fall - so that is what is happening to 50. KW will win the battle, but not the war - I think 50 will outsell KW in the end.

Predict 700,000 for KW, 600,000 for 50, and about 400,000 for Kenny Chesney.

they're saying that Kanye will sell 700,000 while 50 will sell around 500,000.There's also a chance that Kenny Chesney will outsell 50!

Champion is a hot upbeat track...so is Good Life...other than that Ima say the lame "Barry Bonds" but the rest are more slower tempo...if u liked Late Registration the tracks like "Drive Slow" "Addiction" "Hey Mama" "Celebration" are some what like the tracks on this album ("Homecoming, Big Brother" "I Wonder" "Cant Tell Me Nothing" "Flashing Lights"

Very cold and electronic beats. Lots of electro synth on almost all the songs.

its a good buy and found myself listening to it 3 times today (except for Drunk & Hot Girls and Barry Bonds..which could have been left off)
