Julieta Venegas - Eres Para Mi Heard this song on an international video channel during my cruise.
Maybe it was just the vacation vibe I was in..., but this tune caught my attention. Pure Pop with a Latin flavor. ...Limón y Sal Looked her up on allmusic and she's got quite a background... Born and raised in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, Venegas was the daughter of two photographers and was one of five siblings. She embarked on her musical journey at a young age, studying piano from the age of eight. In addition to piano, she also studied musical theory, singing, cello, and violoncello at La Escuela de Música del Noroeste, while she also crossed the border to study at South Western College in San Diego — all of this before she even graduated from high school. ...www.allmusic Anyone else heard of her? tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I've been a Julieta fan for years now. I don't think that's the best song on her Limón Y Sal album, but it may be the catchiest. Her first two albums are more alternative sounding, but for this one and the one before it, the excellent Sí, Julieta adopted a more pop-oriented sound and as a result became a lot more successful.
She plays a mean accordion live.

She plays a mean accordion live. The tune reminds me of a groovier more melodic take on The Sign (Ace of Bass). I'll definitely be checking into more of her material. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. great post btw tA..i had no idea I'll have to listen to more of her material before I make a final verdict. Again, maybe it was just the atmosphere at the time, but that tune worked for me. And there you go underestimating me again... tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. It's like comparing really good cake to a really good salad.
