VMA losses spark another Kanye tantrum

LAS VEGAS - Sour grapes from Kanye West — again. Shut out at the Video Music Awards, Kanye West threw a tantrum Sunday night in front of media and crew backstage as the MTV show was ending.

West, waiting for an elevator in a crowded hallway, began yelling about losing all five categories for which he was nominated.

"That's two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance," West said, stomping around his entourage and directing his comments at a reporter. "I'm trying hard man, I have the ... number one record, man."

West said he never will return to MTV.

The rapper was nomination for five awards, including male artist of the year. This is the latest in a series of awards show outburst for West. Last year, he crashed the stage at the MTV Europe Awards after not winning for best vi

He is a damn crybaby for real. His first cd is the best one anyway. I have the last two and if he doesn't go back to something good like the first one I don't think i'd bother listening to any future ones.

This rendition of the annual "Crapfest" that is the "MTV Video Music Awards" blew chunks. The host was corny. The audience was dead. "EVERY" performer was lazy as hell!!! Where's the energy, folks? It must have been hot in that mutha! This is a revelation and a bleak prospect to what is to come for the future of musical society and its influence on our youth. Seriously, this show hasn't been good since "2000". And, I'm being nice. Because, I could say "9999" (Possibly the most memorable, ever for more reasons than one. Classic monologue. Classic performances. What else is there to say, here?). Although, I hold a special place in my heart for "The 2000 MTV Video Music Awards". "Blink 182", "Red Hot Chilli Peppers", and "Eminem". Man, that was my favourite. Look at where we are, now.

I don't know why Kanye's mad he lost to artists for winning a crappy award. It ain't like it's the Grammies or something. MTV blew chunks, Kanye, didn't you know?

Sad that he equates a meaningful validation of his career and talent by the receiving of an award from MTV.

But, to those who said that the "Grammys" would have been better (Some of which he has already won his fair share of, by the way.), their last two-to-three years of "Handing Out" awards to people who didn't deserve them has ruined the credibility of those same exact awards.
