Girls Aloud notch 16th straight Top 10 Single in the UK

Thats right they did it again, actually they have never missed which is another record. Since there first single in 2002 Girls aloud have released 16 singles and they all have gone top 10 setting a record for Female Groups in the UK. It may not be a big deal, but what people dont realize is that there is more competition in the UK mainly because there is one chart, and the UK gets hit with everything, music from the USA and all over the world, so 16 straight top 10's is nothing to say big deal at considering the way things are counted in the UK. Its also important to look at the fact that the UK is still releasing commercial singles, its not like here where its really almost all about airplay. Their next single is hitting in November and their Fifth album is due November 19th. To date the Girls have not had a release in the USA and there is not any plan to do that, since it would cost a fortune to bring them here and market them and US radio is not very iniviting to POP especially Euro/dance pop.

I've also notice that Girls Aloud are also die-hard Big Brother (UK) fans. Some of their music have been use for the show a few times before (especially for the Best Bits).

Hell yeah, I know for a fact that the music industry in the UK is way better than the USA these days. Good thing there is a YouTube community that can help me keep up with what's going on that side of the Atlantic.

All of you love synths in your music just as much as I do. In Europe, dance-pop is still the biggest genre, even bigger than hip-hop at the moment.

Doesn't the UK have an R&B chart also or something?

I still like the way the UK does things, just the fact that singles are released with mixes, bonus tracks, bsides. that right there puts them far ahead of the USA, and the thing is alot of the imports i buy are US artists like Jovi,Carey etc..who put out singles there with all this extra stuff and cds with bonus cuts. As for Girls Aloud, i love them, call it a guilty pleasure, but not really, because i dont feel Guilty about loving them.

From their new 2008 Calendar which is HOT!

I admit I'm a bit of a synth's junkie and a 80's fanatic. My boyfriend finds it strange that I like 80's music...people my age usually hate 80's music
