Led Zeppelin Reuniting! From Yahoo Music Blog:
Dancing days are here again, because the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin are finally getting back together! Yep, hard rock fans still dazed and confused by recent news of the long-delayed Van Halen reunion have even more reason to celebrate, now that this even longer-delayed reunion is reportedly in the works. Incredibly, according to NME.com, frontman Robert Plant is in talks this week with fellow Led Zep legends Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones about a one-off Zeppelin gig that'll hopefully take place in London this November. Presumably late drummer John Bonham's son, Jason Bonham (last seen banging skins for celebreality band Damnocracy on VH1's Supergroup), will fill in behind the drumkit for the Zep trek; since Damnocracy mouthpiece Sebastian Bach is busy trying to launch a hip-hop career on MTV's Celebrity Rap Superstars (more on that HERE), we're guessing Damnocracy are on indefinite hiatus and Jason will therefore thankfully be free... |

Interesting, im sure this will go with that re-issue and new set they have coming out in oct/november. It'll be interesting to hear them, i know alot of people will hate them going on without Bonham and that they will wreck the past by doing this, but whatever, they wanna play, play. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Those tickets would be crazy expensive. For some reason I can't see them doing a full tour.....maybe a NYC or L.A show. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

About damn time! It's been 27 years? Too bad it's only a one time deal. Guess Robert Plant has to make eccentric albums that may or may not get critical raves with Allison Kruss instead.

If they did do a full tour, the prices would be insane...if this is one show. Forget it! I know this. I was thinking of seeing Dylan at Eastern, figuring the tickets might be cheap. The best seats are $70 and I whince I'm whincing at that! The "worst" are $30, which is probably reasonable. Just not sure I could get anyone besides my parents interested and they might object to the prices.

Amazing the things money will make people do. Page & Plant deliberately snubbed John Paul JOnes when they did that "Unledded" thing years ago and there was a lot of bad blood between them for years. Maybe they talked it all out, but I dunno, I'm always skeptical of reunion shows/tours.

To my knowledge, this is nothing more than rumour at this stage. And, as there have been many similar rumours in the past, I am sceptical. However, at this stage, creatively at least, I'd say that Page needs Robert Plant more than Plant needs Page.
Imo, Page has never really managed to consistently and successfully operate outside of the Zeppelin 'brand' since Bonham's death, while Plant, in recent years has thrived, releasing an excellent 'modern Zeppelin' style record in 'The Mighty Rearranger' the other year and touring with a fine, Zep-like band. Page has been quiet for a while now, allegedly working on a second solo album that never seems to arrive. John Paul Jones has been quietly interesting musically for several years now. His contribution to Zeppelin on bass, guitars and keyboards has often imo been overlooked. IF they do reunite, it should be with Jason Bonham and, if they end up writing any new material, it should have major Jones input, partly to make up for the unfair snub of the Page/Plant era. Mind you, Page/Plant's 'No Quarter' was a kickin' record imo. Time will tell ...

It will happen. I'm positive of it and have some inside info.
Oh, and to Miles up above me there, it will be Jason Bonham on drums. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven
