People definitely need to lighten up.
Sarah Silverman is a comedian. She tells jokes and quite often they are at other peoples expense. Haven't you ever heard of Don Rickles? He's the king of the insult. It's called comedy. Stop acting like she did something bad to Britney. If she's so damn sensitive, perhaps it's time she retired and started being a mother.

She's a public figure and her behaviour as of late begs to be joked about. However, calling her babies "mistakes" was uncalled for. You best believe, had that been me, the next shot you would have seen on T.V. was me putting my foot 6 inches deep into Sarah's skinny ass. And Sarah is not funny at all. I watched part of her show on HBO just to see what the hoopla was about and I was like, , the whole time. After 5 minutes, I changed the channel. **************************************************

I remember the threads about Paul Mooney's joke about Diana Ross's deceased husband that left Tracey Ellis in tears. But hey, Diana Ross is b*tch so who cares. Sarah's jokes about Paris Hilton were thoroughly laughed at and it was okay by some because, well hey, it's Paris. Now it's poor Britney, those are her kids, etc. I think some pick and choose what's okay to laugh at and not laugh according to who we care about. I think that it would be a hell of a fight if it happened. Sarah may be that undercover ass kicker that nobody expects to be able to do anything. Britney would definitely throw some good punches though, but she'd tire quickly (as was obvious during her recent performance). My money is on Sarah. I think she's funny. She's no more offensive to me than Richard Pryor or Andrew Dice Clay, but that's JMO. Alot of comedians have acts like this, except worse. I didn't like the "adorable little mistakes" joke, but Britney's been out partying all weekend. Maybe her kids were with her, but I, personlly, highly doubt that. Ahh, Hell No! Her kids weren't going to be interfering with her party time this weekend. I still think it would be one hell of a close fight though. Prince Rogers Nelson

Though this is a worthless, meaningless, and useless topic, to all those that have their lips touted and perched for the corny comedienne that was' (Though, I don't care much for "Britney", I do somewhat feel bad for the poor broad.) ass, please, "JUST STOP IT!!!", as "Bob Newhart" would say. It really does not look right that someone could actually think that this broad is even remotely funny. She has nothing on the likes of "Chris Rock" when it comes to monologues, so kill that noise. Man, and you would have thought that "MTV" learned their lesson, earlier this year @ "The MTV Video Music Awards".

I hadn't actually heard the joke. Sorry, I think that's funny. Britney's doing far more to fuck up those kids than Sarah. But I do agree that if I was Britney I'd be pissed! My Legacy

Please give me more credit than that. Sarah could have said anything about Brittany. Brittany is acting like a complete fool in public and she is begging to be the topic of jokes. But the babies are innocent and do not deserve to be called "mistakes" on national television. How Sarah and the staff of MTV thought that that horrid joke was O.K. is beyond me. There was nothing witty or funny about it. It was just down right cruel. (I also thought that Paul Mooney was way out of line and so did others at BET, which is why Steve Harvey apologized on air. Some shit is just off limits, esp if the family of the innocent person that you are joking about is in the audience). **************************************************

I agree with you about Britney screwing up her kids, that's why I made the comment about how she spent the entire weekend partying instead of being with her babies. She treats them like burdens and when someone comments on it, people get upset. I just didn't like the joke, because I had the kids in mind...not Britney's feelings. They're probably going to have to have therapy when they're 8 at this rate, poor things. Prince Rogers Nelson

THAT'S the real problem when you're dealing with comedians like Sarah Silverman and (most recently) her boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel; A line doesn't exist in their stand-up routine at all. It's a pretty mean joke, particularly if the kids were old enough to understand. But "mistakes" doesn't reflect on them, it reflects on Britney.
And basically everything she's ever done has been a mistake. My Legacy

Just wanna put in my 2 cents about Sarah, who I'm slightly torn about. I used to dislike her but I've watched her Comedy Central show & it's funny sometimes, but I do wish she didn't have so much racial humor in her act. I find it annoying. That said, when she said she wanted to "fuck that cheese" while hosting IFC's Spirit Awards, I damn near peed myself
So she's cool @ times imo...

I confess to being on the fence with Sarah and Linda Lampanelli.
Such rude and racist and inappropriate humor! And then I giggle. Sometimes. [Edited 9/12/07 12:32pm] Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
