With George it was more about him being cashed in on because of his image, and he caught on to that and changed it more or less, but he did sacrifice himslef since back then videos and mtv were everything, and then he wouldnt record either so i doubt a JT or Kanye will walk that line. George did do an unplugged during Older, not sure if it aired here in the USA since that album got almost no play video or radio at all. I don't know if the "Unplugged" played here but I always see clips from it (MTV might have also been over the whole "Unplugged" thing....seems strange that it's so unsteady but I guess who cares about hearing FallOut Boy or Ashlee Simpson unplugged....). I know that MTV had ads talking about the new George Michael video when it came out (although I never remembered seeing it that often on there) but "FastLove" got a decent amount of play....that might have been VH1. I'm surprised "FastLove" because it was catchy as hell and I remember seeing the video fairly often. | |
