Thicke vs. Robin Thicke

Am I the only person who adores Thicke's 'A Beautiful World' but can't stand Robin Thicke's 'The Evolution of Robin Thicke'?

i love the 1st album but have yet to get his latest. i probably will this week. i saw him open for Beyoncé and he got me all hot and bothered. i liked all the songs he played so hopefully the album sounds just as good.

I enjoy both albums. biggrin The Evolution tends to drag on a bit, but it's still very good, and the first one is nearly perfect.

I bought Robin's AOL Sessions DVD and thought he sounded great, which prompted me to buy 'The Evolution of Robin Thicke'. But the album just starts out on a bad note for me. Not a fan of Faith Evans. Lil Wayne is simply repulsive. "Shooter" should have been left where it belongs...on the 'Beautiful World' CD. And that very blatant Marvin Gaye impersonation he's doing thoughout 'Evolution' is really annoying. There are just too many songs I need to skip over to enjoy the album.

'A Beautiful World', on the other hand, is just so yummy! I can put it on repeat all day and not get tired of it.

I really like the first album, but when I initially heard Evolution I thought it was kinda "blah"....However the more I listened to it, the more I began to apreciate it as smooth mellow baby making music
If you will, so will I

The Marvin Gaye impersonation is one of the things I really love about the second album. I'll agree about "Shooter," though. I love both albums, but I prefer Evolution.
