You do know that there are MANY british black artists doing R&B and they're doing better than American R&B artists these days Brit soul is quite underrated, Omar, Shaun Escoffrey, Lynden David Hall(RIP), Roachford etc True. There lies some hidden gems, I must say.

that british guy who tried to sing R&B didn't he do that song "On Monday.....Tuesday.....Wednesday, etc." man i hated that song LOL, "that british guy who tried to sing R&B" and he sure didn't do a good job, with his crap lyric. I'm from England, and I think British R&B and Hip Hop artists talentless, pure crap because there music always sounds weak and dated.

They were created to showcase the vibrancy of the Black British Music industry and every year they show the exact opposite. The winners list reads like a who's who of wackdom. From Shola Ama to Jamelia and Lemar to Craig himself(who's actually the best of the bunch). A pathetic array of Blue Peter-level nobodies. The peak of British soul was the late 80s/early 90s when you had Soul II Soul, Omar, Roachford and Mica Paris all releasing classic cuts. Since then it's been an avalanche of garbage. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

"Hot Stuff" is dire...Craig singing inane lyrics over a loop of David Bowie's "Let's Dance"...HOW original.
Isn't it about time that he came out too?

Isolar, if you listened to American radio, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a rap song from a R&B song It's that bad "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. Roachford 4. Soul II Soul Instantly come 2 mind. Popular in the 90's ----- 1. Incognito (a spawn of Beggar & Co. I might add) 2. Omar 3. Don-E 4. Truce Should keep ya going for a bit!
