TIMBALAND REVEALS MORE INFO ABOUT MADONNA'S NEW ALBUM! One song will be called "La La". Pharrell's "Candy Shop" is real!

Transcript from a MTV interview:

Timbaland spills the beans about his work in the studio with Madonna and Justin in an article from MTV News:
"Timbaland is finally back in the States after touring overseas with Justin Timberlake, and yes - his trip was productive. Not only did the duo shoot a video with 50 Cent, but they also worked with a cultural icon.

"We just did Madonna's record," Timbo said, sitting in the "TRL" green room. "Me and Justin did the records" for the album, he continued, saying Madonna is almost done with the effort. "She's great.... She's got a hot album. Her album is up there with Justin's album."

Tim says he and Justin wrote and produced 10 songs for Madge's LP, many of which will make the club jump.

"Ah, man," Tim gushed. "There's this one song, we taking it back to 'You must be my luck-eee starrrr!' ... Remember 'Ugly' by Bubba Sparxxx? I got a beat similar to that. The hook is no words. It's saying stuff named after coffee - all these different names for coffee - is the hook... The name of the song is "La, La".
Pharrell did a hot one for her too called "Candy Shop". She's off the chain.
"

The production legend said there isn't a title for the opus yet, but he will be reconvening with the singer in September to finish it up."

Why the recycling of titles? Winehouse and Rihanna both got a "Rehab", now Fiddy's Candy Shop already being opened up again?

He must be "Satan". He's constantly ruining the music industry. Yeap, that's it. Suge Knight lost the title to this broad....and now Madonna's the next victim. disbelief

I have very low expectations so that it will be good afterall.

The best albums always come when u have no idea what they are doing and no one TALKS ABOUT IT

I don't know...I was hoping if she was going to make an R&B album it would be more like "Bedtime Stories". I know Madonna doesn't like to repeat herself, but it doesn't mean she has to jump on every trend, either.

I think "Erotica" flirted with be an embarassing R&B album at times ("Did You Do It", anybody?) but thankfully had enough substance and soul and good production to come off sounding timeless and not stuck in '92. I have no idea about this one.

more recent news about the album:

***What will the album be titled? Two titles are being considered: 'Black Star' and 'XXV'.The latter means "25",referring to Madonna's 25th year in the music business.

***The album is still scheduled to be released in late November.

***It will be followed by a "Best Of Remixes" CD and a 25th anniversary box set, both due in spring 2008.It's likely that the remix CD could be packaged with the box set.

I want to like it because I want new Madonna but I have no idea what this ménage a trois is going to sound like so I’ll reserve judgment until I hear it. Timbaland occasionally surprises me although lately it seems he’ll make a beat for Osama Bin if you cut him a check.

Any day now,I expect him to announce that he's producing a new CD for Barry Manilow lol seriously,he's working with everybody these days, even artists who don't do that type of music.Collaborating with Madonna isn't too shocking (she's already worked with Missy) but Celine Dion?! nuts

I do agree with you Mike tho, i think madonna sounds best when she's doing european music, thats because european music is vastly superior to US swill.
I think Madonna should get into Trip Hop, and do stuff the Bjork is doing etc...

Ooh, "Trip-Hop"!!! You know, "Nelly Furtado" (My former biggest celebrity/musician/singer crush) was once into "Trip-Hop". They're heavily-based around "Toronto, Canada"....at least, that's what I think. shrug

I think madonna working with timbaland is going to sum her experiences of toying with european music and american music and bring them both together.
