Dave Matthews new single-Eh Hee

Anyone else hear it yet. I thought it was pure shit, just like Stand Up. Very mechanical and lyrically dull.

Now I know what some of you are saying "You are going to keep saying 'I wish they would make music like Crash'" While true, no. I tend to like a bands 'worst work' (See Queen's Hot Space or Princes New Power Soul).

But Dave and band have REALLY slid downhill...your thoughts

There are no fans here but me. I started this thread two days ago after seeing the new video (free on itunes), that is amazingly artistic. Another hot track, granted the video is better than the song. And no one posted to my thread. These people must be the 50 Cent/Kanye - Michael/Madonna - Bjork/Tori types.

I love the DMB. (though I wish they'd rid themselves of Boyd. I suspect he's in the band because they're all friends. His musical contributions are miniscule, IMO.)

haven't heard the new single. the last disc was kind of stiff, too programmed and mechanical, yes (great word to describe it).

That and Everyday were the low points, to me. The latter being the disc where Carter wasn't even used on some of the tracks (like "Space Between"). How do you rely on programmed beats, when you have one of pop/rock's best drummers at your disposal?

Drum machines, same thing that brought Queen down IMO. Carter is amazing, why in the hel would they not use him?
