Harlepolis

Haven't seen the movie yet,,,,I sure am planning to though.

Speaking of new OSTs, what do you think of this one?

The Afro-Disco or whateva you label it had me swingin' my neck and tapping my foot when I didn't even notice lol

One of the artists that had me intrigued is Tony Allen. I think he was in charge of Fela Kuti's rhythm section, or so I read somewhere.

Tony Allen is the truth! He was Fela's drummer, and has a few albums of his own. My personal fave is "No Accomodation for Lagos". He's currently drumming with THe Good, the Bad and the Queen. They are a 'super group' with members of Blur, the Clash, and Mr. Allen. Havent seen the flick yet (Last King of Scotland) but youve just givent me even more reason to do so. cool

oh yeah, it "Afro Beat" wink

It is superb.....a definite must. And like harlepolis said, the music is cheerful, upbeat and toe-tapping despite the gruesome subject matter.

I have not seen Zodiac....sounds intriguing and the soundtrack is awesome.

cool

This is my favourite film of the year so far. A masterpiece. Great uses of Easy to be Hard and especially Hurdy Gurdy Man.

My brother, a serious critic as far as movies & music goes, recommended this one.

I totally agree concerning those tunes.
