It's a wonderful song. Infact I brought this topic up a few weeks ago it didn't get much responses back then either. Many people see it as a Civil Righs song, but for me it's a song about Donny own personal struggles with his own demons and inspite of it all seeing light at the end of the tunnel. I think what happened to Donny in the end makes the song more poignant.
