We were throwing down back then with Deee-lite, Black Box, The 49ers, Crystal Waters, Cee Cee Penniston, Pat and Mick, 2 In A Room, Jomanda, etc. That house/dance explosion felt the disco era all over again. It was such a great change from the weak Shitney Houston inspired R&B of the late 80s. Those groups I mentioned were played big time in the gay clubs mostly. I don't remember hearing them much on the R&B stations. Of course, I was getting sick of radio by that time. Things seemed to be back on track musically on the fast track where music should be.....and then came shit hop. Andy is a four letter word.

I wish I had stayed with them after the second album. The 3rd...Dewdrops is really their best!
Kier does spin here and there, she posts her schedule up on her site. I do wish she'd release music though...I've heard it and it's pretty good. I still think a Deee-Lite reunion would totally work and folks would probably get back into them...that is if they can get Towa Tei back into the fold. Christian Zombie Vampires

Lady Miss Kier is FABULOUS!! I met her a couple of years ago while she was dj'ing at Pearl Necklace. She sometimes does Horsemeat Disco as well I think.

(No complaining from me!) So -- if she's been working on new material, why hasn't there been a solo release? She has a website, DJ's all over the place, and there is such a thing called CD Baby where artists can sell their stuff independently. Do you suppose she's waiting for Clive Davis to come a knockin'? (I always thought she looked like Mariah Carey's little sister -- and now that she's put on a few pounds, even more so...)
