fav album is "songs of faith and devotion" simply cuz it has that
very special atmosphere running through it that only few albums
these days have (think Achtung Baby, The Boatman's Call) and all
the songs are top notch.

picking separate songs is nearly impossible because they have so
much good material.

I LOVE Depeche Mode!!!! Easily my fav band of the 80's and early 90's

Favourite album: Violator, 9 strong songs, 4 larger-than-life classics (Personal Jesus, Enjoy the silence, World in my eyes, Policy of truth) and easily thier best produced LP ever.

Favourite song: Behind the wheel (the Best of 86-98 mix)

Just for the joy of it, my ranking of DP albums:

1.Violator
2.Some great reward (awesome album as well)
3.Music for the masses
4.Black Celebration
5.Playing the Angel (awesome neo-classic)
6.Songs of faith and devotion (I was in love with this album back in the mid-90's, but I think it hasn't aged very well, nevertheless it's a very good album)
7.Speak and spell (sounds very naive today, but it's a great album and a milestone of the futuristic/electronic new wave of the early 80's)
8.Ultra
9.A broken frame
10.Construction time again
11.Exciter

By the way, 101 is easliy one of the best 80's live albums...
