With so much attention being given to Ashanti (mostly negative I might add), I wonder why no one has said anything about Missy Elliot protege' Tweet. Trust me, you cannot judge the quality or integrity of her album by her first two radio releases Oops! and Call Me. Though I enjoyed both songs, they are to be considered commercial in comparison to her album. Her album has over 15 bangin tracks and is on another level entirely. Her album is not commercial, it has the feel of neo-soul with a new school Motown feeling with a splash of Marvin Gaye. Most of her songs are slower tempo songs that evoke various emotions out of listeners. Songs like "My Place", "Smoking Cigarettes", "Best Friend (featuring Bilal)", and "Always Will"..this girl is truly crooning... that 's on another level of singing (for those who don't know). She is truly underrated and underpromoted. I am talking the soul stirring of Erica Badu with the emotion of Mary J. Blige mixed with...I just cannot give her enough props. Like I mentioned earlier, I enjoyed her first two releases, and anticipated that her CD would be similar to those songs, but that is the furthest thing from the truth. She even has a song that is heavly enfluenced by Scandelous by Prince. If you even have the opportunity to hear it...check it out. The worse case scenario is that you will be pleasently suprised. I have recommended this album to various friends, and its funny to me when they tell me that they slept on it for a while, and when they finally heard it, they ran out and purchased it. I believe Tweet will be around for a long time because she has geniune talent. She is the primary writer and producer on her album... the young lady is defintely gifted! That is my take on the young lady called Tweet...check her out!!!

She really bugged the hell out of me until I saw her MTV concert with Jurassic 5. She seemed relaxed, happy, natural and funky. I think she might have more to offer than it first appeared.

She's good, one of better albums of the year. My favourites are the slow jams "Smoking Cigarettes" and "Best Friend" (With Bilal), although the album has great set of uptempo based stuff also.

Her MOTEL and Smoking Cigarettes are the best songs in there. I love her Mellow, dark, smoothy yet funky music not mention one hell of a songwriter. Not 2 mention a MUSICIAN, she can play Acoustic guitar and drums very well.

I just wish and hope she release another LP cuz you know how Missy girls be. ONLY ONE LP 4 EACH!

I hate it when ppl say Tweet is Missy's new Aaliyah protoge there's a FINE LINE between Aaliyah and Tweet. I hope OPEN-MINDED ppl realize that!

Sounds like so many other Acts out nowadays&when you are Associated with Missy you are gonna get Lost because Missy will get all the Credit no matter what you do.folks have to earn titles.She is battling the likes of India Arie with the Acoustic Guitar Vibe&whatnot.time will tell

I really like "Call Me"... and I can't be yo baby momma though I'd like to... LOLOL!!! Ghetto as all hell, but that song is hot. I'm curious to hear this "Smoking Cigarettes" song you guys keep talking about. I do think it's a little soon to call her the Queen of anything though, lol. I hate the way that gets thrown around so easily, let her hold my attention for longer than a minute & earn it...

This girl [b]CANNOT SING[b]. I have this album and it was a total wast of the $5 I paid at Half Priced Books. Ahsanti's album is not much better. Her voice is a little better than Tweet's, but neither can sing well. We'll see where these ladies are in 5 years.

and smoking cigarettes is a acoustic song ..she talks about how some dude got her smokin about a pack-a-nite.. and towards the end she names all these cig brands lol

I like her album. The slow jams like Smokin Cigarettes and Best Friends w/ Bilal(especially) is great. I wish that more people could hear it because it's really good.
