Divinyls, said to be a "one hit wonder" because of...
1990 "I Touch Myself" -- #1 AUS / #4 USA / #10 UK

Other hits...

1981 "Boys in Town" (my fav! video got a lot of airplay on MTV) -- #8 AUS
1983 "Science Fiction" (moderate airplay in the US) -- #13 AUS
1985 "Pleasure & Pain" (played live during MTV's New Year's Eve Party) -- #12 US Rock / #11 AUS
1986 "Sleeping Beauty" (i really like this song too, shoulda done better) -- #50 AUS
1991 "Make Out Alright" (video got a lot of airplay on MTV) -- #19 US Rock
1992 "I Ain't Gonna Eat My Heart Out Anymore" -- #19 AUS
1995 "I'm Jealous" -- #14 AUS

Okay, your turn. Tell us about your favorite "One Hit Wonder" band/artist who had more than one hit. If you can think of one that's not your favorite, then mention them too!

Basically, you're talking about acts who had one huge hit that overshadowed any other hit songs -- causing the average person to think that act was truly a "one-hit wonder." Ironically, we had this discussion on the "R&B One-Hit Wonder" thread two months ago.

An example would be Gregory Abbott:

People think his only hit song was 1986's "Shake You Down," but Abbott had two other top five singles on the Billboard R&B Singles chart -- "I Got the Feelin' (It's Over)" and "I'll Prove It to You."

THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!
