spit Wow. I'm shocked. Not because the song is actually pretty good, but because people are giving Britney credit for it being good. The production is what makes this song even worth the 4 minutes of listening...but that's pretty much all of Britney's catalog. Sorry, but they could have walked done the steet and randomly selected anyone to do this song and the results would have probably been the same (especially with all the over-dubbing and obvious computerization of her voice). I just can't give her any credit or props for doing the same ole, same ole. If all the other songs on the album are like this one, than it's going to sell, but it has nothing to do with how talented she is (or isn't rather) but with the fact that she has the right kinda fundage to pay those top producers. Please stop giving her credit...she really doesn't deserve it IMO. Good job, Danja!! clapping

I sorta feel the same way... that anybody could have done this song. It's okay but something is missing and I can't put my finger on it. Empty is the word that keeps coming to mind but it's something else.

give me a break with this producer crap. newsflash: most recording artists are just that, they are not producers. in other words, it's a given that most recording artists rely on good producers to make or break their career. madonna, janet, whitney, mariah...all the big names of our day rely on producers to make their hits.

confused Did I ever say that she was the only one? I agree with you about the other four ladies, but sad to say that on many Madonna, Janet, Whitney, and Mariah tracks, their voices aren't extremely altered for the majority of the song (well, maybe Madonna sometimes). I said it was a good song, just like "Toxic" was a good song, but c'mon. Half of the voices on 'Toxic' didn't even sound like her. I can't be giving her high-fives for something that sounds like it took her less than 30 minutes to lay down vocals on. If the song is good it's because the beats are good.period...take away the beats and is it really worth swooning over? It's a fun dance song that I would shake my booty! to in the club. Half the voices in Toxic were Cathy Dennis.

disbelief 'Toxic' was also Britney's first Grammy win wasn't it? I really hope that Ms. Dennis was adequately compensated for allowing Britney to get the credit for it.

And that's all I want her to deliver. booty!

nod I'd groove to it. It's catchy dancing jig

Cathy is one of the biggest-paid songwriters in pop music today, so I don't think she gave a shit lol She had her own days of performing.

Well i like the song because it proved everything i said about Britney from day one of her MELTDOWN. Basically she played the media game and she won, This song is already all over the place, the net, tv shows, i even saw this talked about on CNN! This girl played the media just the way it played her, still think she is dumb? Radio is getting track already along with some more news on SEPTEMBER5th and then a few days later guess what??? Britney is performing on the MTV awards, with something is supposed to shock the world, there goes the HYPE machine again. Britney knows exactly what she is doing, she is possibly one of the smartest people at using the media to keep her in the spotlight.

Also about this song could have been done been anyone, true, but im going to give PROPS to Production for that, the fact that anyone can sing your beats is not a NOD to someone being a great producer im sorry to let everyone know, it more shows how paper thin things are now that it really doesnt matter who is singing. Prodcuers nowadays are no more than PIMPS with BEATS.

All in all i like the song, i said it before and i will say it again, Britney's In the Zone album was one of the best POP records and she got dogged for it, and yet Justin did a similar album and got praised like he was a messiah, once again the double standard comes into play. The only thing i dont like about this song is that FUCKING ending, i HATE when producers have tell me their name and who they are on a track!, If i cared who you were i would read the liner notes, but i dont care who you are, also they do that, because everyone sounds alike, and most of the beats are stolen amongst producers. But on a different note that "giggle" that Britney does at about 15 seconds into the song is Fucking HOT!!

I know I'm going to be dogged for this but Britney is a good singer, the reason it's filtered is she doesn't sound like a pop singer and to make her sound younter.

I think alot of artists use that "distortion" on their vocals, i never thought Britney had a bad voice, i think for some reasons with female artists once they look good, they have to sound like Aretha or they suck, and yet there are tons of male vocalists that just flat out suck vocally but their vocals never come into play. I really never had a bad opinion of Britney, to me she is doing what POP icons do, keep their name out there, i cant really blame her for using the media that used her constantly. I mean all through the 80's all i heard was how Madonna couldnt sing and blah blah blah and yet look at where she is 20 years later, still here and making music.

Don't know about the other queens, but Janet can produce/co-produce. She should do it more often so that folks wouldn't only think of her as a dancer.
