deefinitely some classic disco-funk right there. Me and my dad were rocking out to this at the last cookout we went to dancing jig

This song make me want to get over my fear of rollerskating boxed
If you will, so will I

i wouldnt call it a chic rip off, if you listen closely there's no Chic sound to it, just merely a groove

...and a greasy bass synth... my kinda flava right there, no doubt.

sounds nothing like Chic though.

i don't even rollerskate and i would b at the rinks funking out 2 this tune...now this is funk!
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Man..That mug sounds just like Good Times lol

Only thing that's missing is the violins and the piano.

That's why it sounds so raw.

Surprised Nile and Bernard didn't sue..

But its still a classic music

The bass was the only part of the song that was "Chic" to me.

But everything else was pretty much original.

Either or it's still a great funk cut.

This inspired Roger's "More Bounce to the Ounce" so I'm told though no talk box was in this song. lol

there's a cool sample record called...

"Bounce To The Beat" by Rek Sh*t Rebulz

It uses the drums and bass from "UFO" by ESG, and vocals from this song:

"bounce"
"to the beat"
"feel the body heeeat"

I think Funkmaster Flex was behind it.

edit: the internet is saying KENNY DOPE made it.

Whaaaat?! Man, it's Good Times all the way! I had actually started to do a thread about this song biting off of Chic well over a year ago. I just didn't get around to doing it. More than likely, I forgot about it. But yeah, pill is on point with this. Straight bite. Deeper still, at the same time it's biting off of Good Times, it's ALSO biting off of More Bounce.

I know Good Times came before More Bounce. O.K., Bounce Rock did come before More Bounce BUT it did not come out before Good Times. So, More Bounce kinda bit off of Bounce Skate. The basslines, especially on the opening lick on the bass riff. Bounce Skate can't hold a candle to More Bounce as that song simply DESTROYS it. But again, Bounce Skate, just like Another One Bites The Dust and Rapture by Blondie ALL bit off of Good Times.

Oh, I'm not uptight. Not at all. I was just simply stating facts, that's all. Oh, and the only folks who can truly call me "son" is my mom and dad.

Nawl, play em side by side, "Disco" is slightly faster but it still goes perfect. The snares and claps match.
