BLUE -- first and foremost
her later stuff can get pretty eclectic i'd probably suggest you stay safe for the first few albums and get some of her early stuff COURT AND SPARK CLOUDS MILES OF AISLES is a cool live set then start to stretch out with... THE HISSING OF SUMMER LAWNS after that... DON JUAN'S WRECKLESS DAUGHTER (i love "Paprika Plains") then pretty much anything goes she's kinda of like Prince in that she's a musical "hybrid" herself delving into many diverse styles she's a painter, after all it's evident in her music as well and one of the best lyricists ever! Ummmm...Make SURE to get "Hejira" and "Don Juan's Reckless Daughter"!!! "Don Juan's" is my favorite piece of art. More than any painting, photo, film, etc...This album moves me like nothing else can. Occupy Alphabet Street!

Oh...And 'Turbulent Indigo' is brilliant! It won the Album of the year Grammy, and deserved it. Enjoy! Occupy Alphabet Street!

definitely get blue 1st ..another recomendation is getting her greatest hits and misses. both r seperate cds man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 | |
