I once playes Slide, More Bounce and Atomic Dog back to back and it bombed. They danced and everything for Slide and More Bounce to the Once. But once I put on Clinton's Atomic Dog, the dance floor got empty. Is Atomic Dog to slow for those other songs. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Whaaaat?! Man, it's Good Times all the way! I had actually started to do a thread about this song biting off of Chic well over a year ago. I just didn't get around to doing it. More than likely, I forgot about it. But yeah, pill is on point with this. Straight bite. Deeper still, at the same time it's biting off of Good Times, it's ALSO biting off of More Bounce. Absolutley. It's no question that the Good Times groove from Chic was jacked/borrowed. And then Zapp returned the favor and tradition of jacking the beat with More Bounce To The Ounce. But, its all good.

blackguitaristz said: IAintTheOne said: LOL ummm good times came before More bounce as did bounce rock because both records came out pretty much a week apart and i think bounce rock came out 1st cuz i remember Flash killin' that shit before Good times came out.... and i had a copy before Good times.,.. sooooo umm..... I know Good Times came before More Bounce. O.K., Bounce Rock did come before More Bounce BUT it did not come out before Good Times. So, More Bounce kinda bit off of Bounce Skate. The basslines, especially on the opening lick on the bass riff. Bounce Skate can't hold a candle to More Bounce as that song simply DESTROYS it. But again, Bounce Skate, just like Another One Bites The Dust and Rapture by Blondie ALL bit off of Good Times. Agreed. Zapp brought more Funk to the mix. The groove was less disco oriented and more Funk concentrated. Great comparison with Rapture and Another One Bites The Dust. Again, here's another classic case where songs share similiar beats. But in Queens case, they brought more Funk to the table and groove was less disco oreianted.

And the "Rapper's Delight" bassline was completely original too, Finess.

DEEP VOICE: MOOOOORE BOUNCE! We ain't heard shit from the Vaughn Mason Crew SINCE! You know what, I just heard that song again in my head and I agree they swagger jacked Chic for real!
