My favorite song on On the Jungle Floor. I run it constantly, no the words and sing along every time. Then one day it occurred to me that I never really truly listened to the lyrics so now that it’s been sorta reborn. I especially love the change up near the end but both grooves are equally good.

This is my favorite song on the album too!
I will admit that I kinda neglected this album when I first got it, but last month I was replaying it and this track really stands out.

I'm still waiting for Van Hunt to really challenge himself though, I feel like he's being kinda "safe" with his music, if you know what I mean

Excellent song, wished the album got some attention, but in this climate, the last thing RB wants is someone thats not the TYPICAL. But all i worry about is that Van Hunt just keeps putting out music, dont reallly care if he sells or not.

I don’t mind if he stays under the radar as long as he is successful by his terms and that his music is made available to us.

But I also feel as if he doesn’t challenge himself as much or that there’s a lot more up his sleeve or is holding back.

Yeah, thats what I'm saying. It's cool that he's not mainstrem corrupted, but sometimes, and he should take advantage of that by really giving us something "out there". I'd also like to here him strech his vocal range a bit.

I never thought about it like that but it sure seems to be the case. R&B seems to like those smooth, oversexed, pursed gloss lips (Ne-Yo), blinged out singers usually with nasally voices. Pick up a guitar and they get slapped to the back of the pile. Play electric guitar and they don't know what the heck to do with 'em.

It's a fantastic song, but my favorite song on the album is still "At the End of a Slow Dance."
