The first 45 single I ever bought was Andy Gibb's 1978 song "Shadow Dancing".Man,I LOVED that song!! Andy was lucky to have such talented brothers producing his stuff. That song STILL kicks ass!!

As for The Bee Gees,I pretty much like all of their 70s stuff plus a few of their 80s singles.I also love many of the songs they produced for others.

I've been listening to them again lately. I burned copies for my dad a few weekends ago... brought back a lot of childhood memories! smile

I love the Al Green version of How Can You Mend A Broken Heart. As for the Bee Gees, I have childhood memories of a long winter in London listening to 'You Win Again' on radio. I found it depressingly enjoyable.

I was only between the ages of 4-7 when the brothers Gibb were so popular that their songs were pretty much all you heard. To this day, I will stop what I'm doing just to listen to their songs on the radio. I associate their music with my childhood. They are fabulous. Their music stands the test of time regardless if it's more of a disco sound or adult contemporary, and Saturday Night Fever soundtrack is one of my all-time faves.

Here's my little list:
The Bee Gees
Emotions
Too Much Heaven
How Deep Is Your Love
Love You Inside and Out
Stayin' Alive
Night Fever
Love So Right
More Than A Woman
Still Waters

Andy Gibb
I Just Want to be Your Everything
Love Is Thicker Than Water
Shadow Dancing
"Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me."

Do the Bee Gees have a box set? I've never seen one, if they don't they should.

Yeah, i reckon Main Course is their best album too.

I remember Barry being interviewed in '98 saying that the Still Waters album ('97) was like the follow up to it.
I kinda get what he means! A great album also. In fact, Saturday Night Fever aside, it probably is their finest album since Main Course.

Well here goes. I like How Deep Is Your Love and More Than A Woman from Saturday Night Fever soundtrack because they are so sweet and romantic. I like Night Fever, Jive Talkin, for the dance groove and I like Nights On Broadway , How Can You Mend A Broken Heart? and I started a Joke because they are good songs. As far as Andy goes RIP I like I just Wanna Be Your Everything for Romantic feeling, Love Is Thicker Than Water for the Groove, Shadow Dancing for it's dance appeal.
