Hanson’s Documentaries: Underneath & The Walk

For free on iTunes Hanson have two documentaries on the process of creating their last two albums, Underneath and The Walk. I find it really interesting to see what they had to go through to get Underneath finished which included breaking away from DefJam.

There’s also really great footage of them in the studio, writing songs and meeting and trying to work with Glenn Ballard and Carole King and others. It seems that Lyor Cohen and another executive whose name escapes me really had no idea what Hanson was about or what they wanted to do but yet really tried to steer them in the direction that they wanted.

Anyway, The Walk is growing on me but I love Underneath and I just think it’s great that they opened up and let their fans see what goes on behind the scenes and some of the aspects of creating songs and albums. I wish I could see this process with some other artists that I like.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
