How do you get a record deal if you are tpain, akon, sean kingston?

This is a serious question? How do you get a record deal if you actually have no singing ability and you have to use a computer enhanced voice to sell records? So what did they do walk in a studio executives office and say listen to me sing on my computer using a computer generated voice.

All 3 of these MFers sound like the same person! Damn if they can do it, please somebody sign me to a record label.

Is this a talentless music generation or what?

We should write and ask Britney Spears. She could tell us everything.

Yes, this is a talentless generation. Give me the 60's, 70's and some of the 80's anyday.

All of their collective success says more about the people buying this garbage than it does about the artist.

Yes, that's true. I don't think some people have much taste in music these days. They seem to be interested more in whether the so called artist looks cool or sexy.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Really? I think she has style. I saw her live a few years ago and she was quite good. No lip-syncing and no silly dance moves. Just raw vocals. I enjoyed her.

Be like Sean Kingston and have your uncle hook you up with a record deal.

T-Pain fucked Akon for a deal

Its very easy, the producers make the neats, someone has to sing them. Its nothing more than having a catchy tune, that someone can use as a ringtone or play on their answering machine. The further technology goes along, the further behind the musician will be. But it all happend when all forms of media deciding to get into BED with each other. The fact that Record Companies/Labels own Radio Stations and Video Channels who own Magazine companys are the eact reason why you get what you get. Just the fact that right now Britney Spears talking to cops and her kids sitting in the car watching, its plastered on AOL like its news or important is why we are where we are. To be honest, i dont mind Britney doing her music or whatever, but i really could care less about her personal life, her kids, who she screwed last night or what drugs her and Lindsay bought, its not news.

Couldn't agree more! Just before I packed in my mobile DJ days I noticed a trend of people my age requesting absolutely dire songs by artists like Akorn as I call him - at the time I believe 'Locked up' was out. The other one I didn't see all the fuss about was that Rihanna.

Pretty much 99% of stuff today is so manufactured, it is unbelievable but worse still, it is so unmemorable. I used to love asking my parents about songs they liked when they were growing up - I reckon when it comes to the time when my own kids ask me about songs I liked from what should have been 'my' era, I won't be able to recall a single one!

They fit the trend.

Sucky, unpassionate, cold, sterile, bland, robotic, repetitious, uninspired music is the style right now. So Record Companies are capitalizing on it
If you will, so will I
