Songs that should be banned from shitty local radio stations FOREVER

"Summer of '69" - Bryan Adams
"Show Me Heaven" - Maria McKee
"Black Velvet" - Alana Myles
"Losing My Religion"/"Love Shack" (which I liked, but COME ON! enough)
"Big Yellow Fucking Taxi" - Joni Mitchell, Sheryl Crow, others

Let's add a few more to this list....

In da club - 50 Cent
My humps - BEP
I just called to say I love you - Stevie Wonder (I love Steve, but this ill)
You're beautiful - James Blunt

There are just too many to list. I hate the radio - although one of my local stations has rock and soul Saturday nights and I love that.

My Heart Will Go On -- Celine Dion
I Will Always Love You -- Madonna
Lucky Star -- Madonna (love several of her singles, but I am tired of this one)

I hate that song with a passion. And the video too. Especially the part when he sings "So you and I could never be" And then he turns and jumps off a steep mountain cliff, Guitar and all.

falloff I think it would just as awful with Madonna singing that song as it is with Whitney Houston singing it.

I'm a brit though and every song you have mentioned happens to be one of my pet hates as well. I'm assuming (I could be wrong) that you're not in Wales but seeing as all the local radio stations are flipping beamed from London or Bristol around here, I reckon the music must be the same throughout the UK.

Why is it that Pink's 'Just like a pill' is suddenly being played all the time again? It's a typical local radio trick I'm convinced - they play 20 wrist-slashing greats every bank holiday monday on constant replay. I put the radio on as I'm driving on bank holidays, the weather's usually crap and you end up hearing 'Here comes the rain again' by Eurythmics (love Eurythmics but PLEASE - we get crap weather on bank holidays and don't need reminding of it!)

As for Bryan Adams' 'Summer of '69' - it's always at the top of the hour after the 2pm news around here. Absolute joke! Surely nobody still likes it...

Another song I hear constantly and want to butcher is 'shine' by Take That and as much as I want to kick myself, 'I don't feel like dancing' by The Scissor Sisters. I love the Scissor Sisters but am getting very bored with that one now.

I don't give consider AI a measure of real talent by any means, but how in God's name can someone who really just yells out the lyrics rather than singing been considered the pick of the litter?

I don't keep up with the show, but I'm really hoping there was a better singer or two than her and the voters were just on crack.
