Toni Braxton suffering from breast cancer

Washington, August 26 (ANI): Recent reports have claimed that soul singer Toni Braxton is suffering from breast cancer.

According to the National Enquirer, the 'Unbreak My Heart' singer is undergoing radiation treatment and chemotherapy in secret.

Braxton reportedly got to know about the disease two months ago, but preferred to keep the news to herself after doctors claimed she'd caught the disease early enough to conquer it.

Hence she decided to continue her 'Toni Braxton: Revealed' show at the Flamingo hotel and casino.

The doctors have been pumping an iron concoction into her twice a week to fight the fatigue caused by her chemotherapy.

"Toni is a fighter. She initially thought the worst, but doctors assured her the prognosis for her breast cancer is excellent. She still has moments when she gets upset and she may cry a little bit - but those moments don't last long," Contactmusic quoted a family source, as telling the National Enquirer. (ANI)

I just read in S2S that she's had several surgeries.

I pray she pulls through. But her life seems so depressing, especially after her initial success.

I really feel for her. Her music was always good, and she was always taken advantage of by her record labels and not promoted properly. I hope she's doing okay and that this too shall pass.

I hate hearing sh!t like this...brings back bad memories. My mother fought it for nearly eight years until she couldn't take the pain anymore.

I hope she pulls through. It'd be nice if folks in the business could help her out financially.

I pray that she is ok, and keeps her spirits high

Oh so sad. Toni's been through so much. She'll be in my prayers for sure. I have faith she'll pull through.

I thought medical procedures like this are supposed to be kept private unless the one suffering from the ailment releases a statement saying that they have something. If this is true - to the National Enquierer's credit, they actually get seven out of ten things right - , I am glad she caught it early and is keeping her self together, she has had more burdens than most people could handle.

Poor her I hope this aint true. We lost Peach earlier this year (of WhildPeach, Outkast's mean funkrock band) to breast cancer. She was in her late 30s I think.

I could never understand why Toni and TLC went bankrupt considering the amounts of records they sold. I know they may not have done the writting or producing but still surely their royalty rights must be off a decent percentage.

They sometimes living a very stressful life can lead to cancer and she seems to have been under stress for sometime.
