This was my absolute favorite song from that era. I shook so much ass off of that song till I was out of breath.

I always thought it was late 1979 also and that it may have spilled over into 1980 with other songs such as Shalamar's "Right Dead In The Socket", Mass Production's "Firecracker", Rick James' "Come Into My Life", and Donna Summer's "Sunset People".

I remember it getting a lot of play in early 1980. I just couldn't remember exactly when though. It definately feels like it was made in 1979 because it's so disco sounding. "Funkytown" by Lipps, Inc. is another disco jam that came out in 1980 after the so-called "death of disco".

In all likelihood,it was recorded in 1979.Many of the songs that came out in early 1980 ("Stomp" by the Brothers Johnson,for example) still sounded very disco-y That's why I like early 80s R&B so much.The music still sounded like it did in the 70s.Hip-hop and New Jack Swing hadn't taken over yet.

Imagine me screaming with joy and yelling like a happy kid when hearing this song, if I could honestly make an al time favorite SONG list, this would be in my top five only behind four other songs written by some weird guy from Mintyapplesauce, Mintysoda . It's gonna be an all night thang fo sho' .
