Chaka Khan with The Manhattan Transfer

Chaka Khan joined the Manhattan Transfer on their 1995 "Tonin`" album for a cover version of "Hot fun in the summertime"

Has anyone heard this track?

It's a fun, snazzy little version. The production is very polished very slick. At the end Janis Siegel (who as a vocalist I ADORE) and Chaka start trading riffs. Now Janis, when you cut her loose, can SANG, but you know she is NO match for Chaka!lol

excited Yes!!!! And Janis as a singer, is actually one of my all time vocal heroes worship worship worship. I own nearly all of her solo releases, up until maybe the last 2-3. Some of her most amazing work can be found on the duo albums that she did with pianist Fred Hersch, "Short Stories", and "Slow Hot Wind"...she does a killer jazz arrangement of Stevie Wonder's "Make Sure You're Sure" on the latter... music
