I would certainly buy them... btw, have you heard Winbush`s solo albums? I have them all I def recommend you to get them,,,and ALL of them are great in their own way. Like the Real Thing album, she did a jazzy song called "Precious" with Ron Isley on the background(singin' bass) and she said that she wrote it with Ask Rufus in mind(and another song she wrote for Whitney Houston - can't remember its title). She also shouts Stephanie Mills' name with respect in her version of "I Learned To Respect The Power Of Love"(which is originaly her own written song). So yeah, get the solo stuff. Although the Rene & Angela stuff are something else its true when somebody said that you can make gold from you pain,,,and she def made gold when she was with Rene 'bastard' Moore.

He whooped her ass like she was a punching bag. He had anger issues and he would slap her if she outshined him with ideas or sang over him - which really she couldn't help doing considering the pronounced vocal difference between them. And she could wail alright - and flip a 'Sarah Vaughn' on you in a split second

She went on to become a great songwriter and vocalist, but before you mentioned him i didn`t even know his last name...

Has anyone here, ever heard "Imaginary Player" by Jay-Z. That's how I first got connected with "Imaginary Playmates". Also, another song "Jay-Z" had a part of sampling a song from "Rene & Angela" was when one of his producers for the former "Rock-A-Fella Records" label had sampled "I'll Be Good" for a song of "Foxy Brown's" of which "Jay-Z" was featured in. "Jay-Z" must be a fan.

People may not know this, but Rene Moore is the brother of Rufus' Bobby Watson. After Rene & Angela broke up, Moore did release a solo album in 1988 that featured a pair of top 20 R&B hits, "All or Nothing" and "Never Say Goodbye to Love." Word spread of Moore's abuse of and later financial and legal squabbles with Angela Winbush. That likely damaged any marketing appeal and his career dried up (keep in mind, this was around the time as Ike Turner's abuse was becoming more commonly known). I understand he may be a studio musician, but the last time I saw Moore's name on anything was on the credits to Michael Jackson's "Jam." BTW, my favorite Rene and Angela song is the sparkling "Your Smile." Winbush sang the hell out of that song. [Edited 8/15/07 6:39am] THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

Rene did some work in MJ's History too. And he made a forgettable comeback in 2004 with a poor attempt to tackle hip-hop in an album called "Street Songz". If anybody remembers the Angela Winbush's song "U had a good girl(and u lost her)" from the "Sharp" album, it was about Rene. [Edited 8/14/07 21:40pm]

Rene and Angela were one of my favorites from the 80's. Angela is SUCH a underrated vocalist. It kills me that Beyonce will more than likely be in the history books but Anglea will not (I'm sorry I had to mention the Beyonce' thing).
Anyway, I had no idea about Angela's abuse at the hands of Rene. I sort of hate I found out. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

Damn Angela is one of the greatest female vocalists out there. Although i didn't like the fact that Rene's boring ass use to beat her...i did like a couple of their songs:
"You don't have to Cry" "I'll Be Good" I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I LOVE ANGELA WINBUSH!!! she is my fav singer and im 21 angela is so underrated which saddens me. she is an incredible talent and good looking too ( trust me im not gay lol). yea i knew about the whole rene abuse thing, thats y he makes me sick. ron isley use to beat her too so ive heard. they prolly were jealous of all the talent she has. but as far as fav rene & angela songs mine would be " your smile". i love that song to death. but i enjoy more of angela on her solo albums, i have all of them plus the greatest hits ones. but i will give a list
Rene & Angela your smile can't give up now come my way i'll be good no how, no way Angela Winbush every last one them

When I played the extended 12" mix of "I'll Be Good" at a party 2 weekends ago, it drew in the crowd and had rappers in attendance picking up the mic to freestyle.
