What do y'all know about the Soul Clan.

This was a Soul Super Group formed in 1967. The original member of the group were supposed to included; Solomon Burke, Don Covay, Joe Tex, Otis Redding, and Wilson Pickett, a great group, eh. All of those above mentioned guy, arounf 1967, were releasing hit left and right and most of them toured together.


But by the time they decided to finally make a record, Otis Redding had passed away in a terrible plane crash and Wilson Pickett was having cold feet. To relace them they got some other soul makers in Ben E. King and Author Conley. Now the group consisted of Joe Tex, Solomon Burke, Don Covey, Ben E. King and Author Conley. Joe Tex was now the main attration when originally Otis Redding was supposed to had been the main attraction.


Their first (and only) single release was titles "Soul Meeting" which was a semi-hit in 1968.


While they didn't release much, this is probally the greatest Soul Super Group Ever.
