Bring on the new album! This is the most excited I've been about a new album in ages. I don't know if you guys are interested, but I started this thread yesterday: http://prince.org/msg/8/241357 It has a link to one of their very rare songs!

[Edited 8/26/07 10:06am] They are an essential. To label them as a gay band is to put them as Village People.

I saw them play in Brooklyn this summer, and the new stuff actually sounded pretty darn good.

I showed up at the very end. And I mean VERY end, when the band and crew were getting ready to go. I did get the pleasure of meeting Kate afterwards and she signed my "Party Mix" cassette. Looks like I'm gonna have to wait until the new album is out to hear the new stuff. Anyways, this song is awesome. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

How weird was it that Scandal played AFTER the b-52s...I felt kind of bad cuz so many people leaving, myself included.

Like I said, I showed up at the very end so I missed all that. I guess it was just a whole 80's nostalgic thing they were trying to do. Patty Smyth & Scandal were supposed to open the show.
I would have loved to have gone to this!
