OMFG!!! i just saw a singer have a mammoth meltdown on stage went to see one of those "old school" concerts in dc last night--persuaders/enchantment/heatwave & blue magic (i think only enchantment had any original members)...but anywhoo, blue magic closed the show and the lead singer came out FRIED!!! don't know if he was drunk or high (or both), but if you can imagine james thunder early from dreamgirls and eddie kane from the five heartbeats rolled into one, that wouldn't do it justice. he just kept yelling in the microphone and singinging waaaaay off-key. it was painful to watch, but since i had never seen a train wreck before on stage, i couldn't just leave. he almost fell off the stage twice and almost knocked the drums over. i felt bad for the other guys on stage because they were doing their best to keep singing, but dude just kept doing his best sexual chocolate imitation. sadly, by the third song, probably 85% of the sold out concert bolted for the exits en masse. | |

if you take the very worst r&b auditions from american idol, they would not compare to how bad this kat sounded. i'm not exaggerating. it was like listening to a alley catt being whipped around in a vortex fan | |

Out here in LA at Sunset Junction street faire on Sat, Deniece Williams actually fell off the front of the stage. I wasn't there but my wife say she couldn't get up and kept singing from down in the pit. It was a pretty funny picture. She was pretty battered up, but she finished the set sitting on stage.
