Seriously who the fuck still asks a question like 'Is Madonna Over'..
So I'm not saying u should like the bitch..& I could easily
understand why someone would hate her.. razz

But have u payed attention 2 popular culture? She beyond that shit..
she's up with the dead people..ICON. & i'm not talking bout some pathetic
Mtv special...please.

lol @ those saying Prince is still relevant..

he's still a kick ass musician & I love him 2 bits..

But U peeps must b on acid..The last prince album people
was interested in was Diamonds & Pearls, over 15 years ago..

& don't gimme that he sold out 21 night in London..'cuz
that shit sold out on the strength of people wanting 2 hear Purple rain..

So best sit ur asses down.

NEXT. cool

Depends how you define relevant I suppose...we all know Prince ain't selling these days, but he's been in major spotlights since 2004...Superbowl, American Idol finale, sold out tours...you can cut the respect level that the industry is showing him with a knife (and this is a man who gave a big F You to the industry). Prince's relevancy can be measured by who he's influenced...I'd listen to his peeps than Madonnas/MJ's peeps anyday (Van Hunt vs Britney Spears) (Lenny Kravitz vs Usher)

The main problem with records sales watchers is they equate sales with quality of music when that is far from the truth...I certainly don't care that Madonna is selling much more music, because it's NOT her music, but others' music packaged as Madonnas...

Give me a REAL artist anyday.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Nevermind. She may not be known like Madonna, but damned if she's not on folks mind. Some simply cannot go without mentioning her when they talk about Madonna. Ah, what a great artist Janice-caugh, caugh Jaja and Prince are...

Look I love Prince to, but he DOES NOT sell like Madonna. And he is NOT WORLD FAMOUS like Madonna. He has NEVER sold like Madonna. You know this. I get tired of disillusioned Prince fans and their need to 'put down' Madge and MJ to make Prince look superior. Prince is harly known in many parts of the world compared to Madonna, period. Wise up. Outta here fo real this time.

Your putting too much emphasise on record sales and who is more popular and quite frankly it's all irrelevant. As of now for all we know Britney is more famous than Prince, but so what?

A word to the uninformed... check Pollstar. Who cares if Madonna's albums outsold Prince's? PRINCE was the #1 selling/highest grossing act in 2004 -- what a joke that you would think that PRINCE is not known in certain places. PLEASE!

PollStar doesn't include Madonna's European Dates of the RIT, with those she beat Prince

Of course not. lol

Madonna put out that huge flop "American Life", and then went on to release "Confessions", have a successful comeback album and tour, and sell millions of copies worldwide. Even if her next album is a flop, there's always album no. 12. cool

Madonna has been popular for nearly 25 years. I sincerely doubt that her career is almost over.
