Is Madonna Over With

Just taking some opinions. Is her career over with?

Anxiety

i'd love to hear her go on a seriously minimal, kraftwerk-y, planet rock kinda vibe (again, i guess). just something really primitive and catchy and funky and simple. i know it'll never happen, but i'd find it really refreshing. just cut all the crap and production and flash for one album and kick out something down and dirty, with a little bit of dumb fun on the side. i guess she's too far gone for that, but wouldn't it be a kick?

im just trying to understand why do you care so much about this 50 year old woman.. she is almost old enough to be my grandma... i think for her age sake.. you should leave her alone....

its hard for me to even make fun of young kids or old people... i just don't have the heart..

pick on someone who is close to your age

lololol no reverse the numbers... but im saying she is old enough to be a grandma...

i think people should stop talking bad about this woman.. because she need to age gracefully and have some respect in her older age....

i could understand if madonna was still in her 30's or early 40's...

Im not a fan.. nor do i really listen to her music like that.. i do watch some of her recent videos they are very interesting watching.. i like a few songs...

i think anything her fans get they should appriciate.. because at her age... she really should be at home..

ok, consensus is, she's done! She wishes she could be relevant like Prince or Mariah Carey.

Well, whether she is over or not, she has left her mark which is the most important thing for any artist. She has given hope to so many people with barely no raw talent that if you have a gread work ethic and you have a good ear for a tune you can really go places.

Is this question serious???

Singers and dancers, like MJ or Madonna, have a shelf-life...they are certainly past their relevant point and now only live off of their past accomplishments...think Sammy Davis Jr...old and still trying to sing/dance, but we only watched him when he became old because he was good when he was young...

The difference with Prince is that he does that (sing/dance), but is an out-of-this-world musician too...it's no surprise that he is still making outstanding music while the other two look for outside help to remain musically trendy...but, it's not working for them.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Madonna isn't even truely talented in those areas, she was never much of a singer and as for a dancer, well she did study dance so I guess she is ok for a former dance student.

Michael on the other hand was genuinely talented at both. However he became too much of a dancer , which meant he compromised his singing. As for instruments I actually believe he can play a few but he is obviously not that proefficient enough to play on stage, so why get all pretentious about it.

No. Madonna still has it within her to keep going for a while. Did you watch that episode of TRL in which she challenged Eminem?

her last album sold 10million and went #1 in 29 countries at the same time. how can you say she is living off her past?

lol, what are you smoking? Madonna last album outsold prince's like 50 times over. And her tours broke records worldwide - in places Prince is not even known. Some say she can neither sing nor dance. But 1 thing we can all agree on (if we are honest) she is doing SOMETHING to wow the masses. They keep coming for more. I love Madonna. You are obviously a hater. So I'm outta this thread.

A word to the uninformed... check Pollstar. Who cares if Madonna's albums outsold Prince's? PRINCE was the #1 selling/highest grossing act in 2004 -- what a joke that you would think that PRINCE is not known in certain places. PLEASE!

Look I love Prince to, but he DOES NOT sell like Madonna. And he is NOT WORLD FAMOUS like Madonna. He has NEVER sold like Madonna. You know this. I get tired of disillusioned Prince fans and their need to 'put down' Madge and MJ to make Prince look superior. Prince is harly known in many parts of the world compared to Madonna, period. Wise up. Outta here fo real this time.
