Idlewild movie

was it really that bad IYO? i didn't find it that offensive other than Big Boi rapping while driving and bullets flying all over the place
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I like it because it's different. Reminds me of all musicals where the characters break out into songs at the most inopportune times

lol

I applaud the boys for doing it.

Paula Patton is Robin Thicke's wife, you knew that didn't you>

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.

and a movie that has all that talent in it, ving rhames, terrence howard, patti labelle etc..(well i can't stand macy gray anyway) couldn't have sucked as bad as the critics said it would ..

The music scenes were great. The rest of it was just kind of boring.

It wasn't a bad movie at all. It was a fun, colorful, and vibrant musical that put a Hip-Hop spin on the jazzy juke joints of the 30's. Plus it's Outkast, dammit. It can't be THAT bad. wink

I really enjoyed Idlewild, very colourful characters and great music throughout. People just expect too much from Outkast.
