Not a big fan especially when she really crossed over with Baby Baby and that terrible song with Peter Cetera.
HOWEVER she does have a lovely voice and "El Shadai" is a very beautiful song. IMO, I think she should have stayed non-secular, her music and voice lent itself to be much more spiritual than pop. I kind of liken her to Sam Philips who also went secular but unlike Amy, had a lot more pop sensibility. Christian Zombie Vampires | |

At the Oberweis Ice Cream shop by my house,
in the men's washroom, hanging over next to the toilet, they used to have one of those "Got Milk?" posters with Amy Grant on it. The image of her face with that white-smear over her lips always made me think dirty thoughts. Ii seemed that no matter what I ordered at there, I always walked out of that establishment with a dirty-mind/brain-freeze combo. | |

Alright, i have to add to the amy grant flames... she can be a hell of a songwriter, and her team knows how to put a song down on record. i highly recommend checking out the album 1989 "lead me on" for excellent musicianship and top notch song-writing. seriously, there are tracks on that record that i still hold against ANYthing. her album "behind the eyes" also has some good moments. don't get caught up in the "message" of her music.. you know prince sometimes has a similar problem  |
