People tell me I should get into Ryan Adams, since I'm a fan of Rufus Wainright. But I've never ever heard/seen this guy. What's he like? Any comparison to Rufus?

Aaron, I don't really see the comparison between the two.

I hear he's also "the new Elton John" ... but I'd be willing to try.

There are about 100 artists I can think of off hand that I'd recommend getting into before Ryan Adams.

IstenSzek said: Ok. Seems you people don't really like Ryan. That's ok.
But I do like his solo stuff. Shame no one knows more about this 60 song recording- session tho. I did hear that DEMOLITION is a mix of songs from 48 HOURS (a triple album of songs he wrote and recorded in..well 48 hours)...PINKHEARTS (his southern-punk band) and another recent session that I cant remember the name to...I just picked up a bootleg called 'HEARTBREAKER SESSIONS' with a dozen other songs that did not make 'Heartbreaker'...amzing stuff! Kim Richey guests as does Emmylou Harris... Every minute of last night is on my face today....
