Random Snatch: Jon B, Pleasures U Like When I have to go for a long drive I’ll blindly snatch a CD off my shelf and won't know what it is until I'm on the road. Sometimes I’ll grab a gem, sometimes a dud.
Yesterday I grabbed Pleasures U Like by Jon B which is a bummer because there are only 2 songs on that I like on this CD. Finer Things featuring Nas. I really like his input on this track and Don’t Talk which I loved and was surprised it didn’t really take off in my area. There’s a duet called Overjoyed with Faith Evans but very blah to me. Don’t Talk… http://www.youtube.com/wa...PYPEMBT3gs Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I watch u oh so soft n sweet Good luck she might be available Can u floss with me baby I'll just stand here and watch you Break it down Break it down Love that damn song. Another good one on there to me was "Tell Me" but other than Finer Things and the one with Fat Joe and Faith Evans..it fall in2 the bland R&B category. His best album still lies in Cool Relax. But Pleasures U Like was the first Jon B album I bought and at the time I used to listen to it over and over. He fine and sexy, plus he can get really funky on all his albums. (Im Right Here / Hands On U / Bad Girl ) His collabo with Bootsy Collins on bonafide (Simple Melody) was funky as hell. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I gotta check out Soft N' Sweet and Tell Me. There may have been one other that I could dig but I so rarely play the rest of the CD I don't even know what's on there anymore. I prefer Cool Relax for sure. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I am not a huge Jon B fan.
I do the same thing as u. When I'm ready to hit the road, I always grab EWF's Live in Rio, EWF's Greatest Hits Live, and something new that I haven't really listened to. This weekend, I will be taking Planet Earth (I still can't get into this cd), and Gerald Levert and Eddie Levert's "Something To Talk About" cd. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I also took PE with me and I appreciated it more in the car than ever before. Usually the car is my true testing ground. If I haven’t listened to it in the car, then I haven’t really heard the CD yet.
I was running, the title track, Guitar and Mr. Goodnight and realized that All the Midnights in the World and Lion of Judah aren’t so bad. Actually, I like Lion now when I never did before. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
