There was a video (lip-synch performance from some TV show).

Also: the vid for "Brilliant Disguise" (from Tunnel of Love) came out something like a month after the release of the single.

There was a video (lip-synch performance from some TV show). Released by Warner (at least in Canada) as the vid for "Holiday": http://youtube.com/watch?...ed&search=

I recall there was a Stevie Wonder song from "In Square Circle" or "Characters" that did not have a video. [Edited 8/20/07 5:14am] "Get It " didn't have a video. It went to #4 on the R&B charts "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

i can only think of a couple Soldier Of Love by Donny Osmond-didn't have a music video but managed to hit #2 in 1989 on the billboard hot 100 Amanda by Boston-in 1986 reached #1 despite not having a video can u guys think of any others? I thought "Soldier of Love" had a video. I could be thinking of "Sacred Emotion" though. If I remember right, "Soldier of Love" was released to radio without them knowing the name of the artist. They didn't programmers to be biased because it was Donny Osmond. As for other hits that didn't have videos: Pop Life - Prince & The Revolution I Want Her - Keith Sweat Rainforest - Paul Hardcastle (I believe) yes there was a video 4 Sacred Emotion but not for Soldier Of Love....excellent album btw orger Formerly known as Kip Winger

Other than that, MOST of Stevie's singles post-1983 were accompanied by music videos. I grew up watching Stevie's videos so I should know.

Someone needs to tell Donnie Simpson and "Video Soul," because they never showed one. Rene and Angela had videos to "I'll Be Good" and "You Don't Have to Cry" for the "Street Called Desire" singles. surprisingly, most of the 'Thriller' singles didn't have videos: "Human Nature" "Wanna Be Startin Something" "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" "The Girl Is Mine" perhaps he was trying to avoid overexposure? yup i think that was the plan, well out of the The Girl Is Mine is the only song that went to #1 in the US "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"

It shocks me more that the first single from Bad didn't have a video. In 1982, video was an up and coming medium, but I still can't believe that in 1987, he didn't pull out all the stops for the first Bad single. By that point, only Madonna had as much MTV power as MJ. And she sure as shit had a video accompanying the first single from every album from 1984 on. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

That shit sucks don't it Vain, you would think they would play more videos from back in the early 80's, BET SUCKS!!!
