Mandy Moore cover of "Umbrella" I haven't poster here in months, but I was wondering what you all think of Mandy Moore's version of Rihanna's song "Umbrella?"
Here is the video of her singing it for Pepsi Covers http://music.yahoo.com/pr...3-20070813 perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

She shouldn't have worn flats, but I almost really liked that.
It's nice as an acoustic. Now I want to hear someone else do it better. Sarah Mclachlan, maybe. D Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

Yeah, that's the biggest mistake a singer can make.

It's funny because she makes it sound so tragic.

Yeah, that's the biggest mistake a singer can make. I was speaking only aesthetic. Hey! it's a superficial world they're in...I should be allowed to make superficial comments. No? Those shoes really weren't working. She should have gone barefoot if she wanted to be grounded. Barefoot is fine. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

To perform it more overwrought than Mandy? That's a challenge.

I actually do like this slower version of this song, I had heard this before and had no idea it was Mandy Moore [Edited 8/19/07 13:30pm] Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul

I like it actually. Never thought I'd say that about a Mandy Moore track
I predict they'll release this as a single, and it'll go top 10 all over again.

I liked it. Of course, she loses points for pronouncing it correctly. It's "um-ber-ella," Mandy! "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

You're probably right...even despite the cheese parts.
I predict they'll release this as a single, and it'll go top 10 all over again. And it's much better if you don't look at the video. I didn't know I was superficial but she's rocking the Mormon look so hard that it's distracting. Now I'm wondering what other songs will be covered for the Bible belt. Mandy Mooore: Paraphrase: "This is top 40 fare and I NORMALLY do not listen to top 40."
Wow. It seems like yesterday when Mandy Moore was the third-tier version of Britney Spears during the teen pop craze. Now, she is attempting to establish herself as a "serious" artist. Give me a break.

Give me a break. Now, now. I thought that comment was kind of sad, because I figured she doesn't listen to top 40 because she never made the top 40. However, I just looked it up and apparently "I Wanna Be With You" peaked at #24. I've never heard it. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
