who remembers "Break My Heart" by David Ruffin? That's a rare,forgotten single.My mom had the 45...it's a very nice ballad.

I can't see the picture but I definately remember the "Soul Brothers Top 20 Singles" in Jet magazine. I'd hate to see their top 20 list these days. lol

speaking of old magazines...

Yesterday,I was cleaning my room and I found an old issue of Right On magazine from 1976!!! It's from December 1976 and features articles on the Sylvers,Bootsy Collins and Pam Grier lol There's even a Disco Chart and I'm gonna print it here.

Right On! actually started in the early 70s.

I thought "Right On" went back further than 76. Didn't it come about because of the huge popularity of the J5, or was that "Black Beat"?

Yep...I read Right On! as a kid, when the J5 were at their peak. That was in the early 70s.

That list is from 1979, early fall I believe. I just started my sophmore year in college when I bought 'Uncle Jam Wants You' & 'Off the Wall'.

that's correct,Right On was around in the early 70s.In the issue that I have (from 1976),they have a page where you can order back issues,some of them from 1972 and 73 lol
