I like Peabo, but he is not my favorite singer/artist. I have a few of his albums. My favorite is "I Am Love". Man, I wish they would release that one on cd (along with his earlier albums). **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Absolutely not! He may not be my favorite but I'm definitely a fan! What`s your favorite songs? Through The Fire I'm So Into You I Never Saw A Miracle Let The Feeling Flow I Can Make It Better Feel The Fire ....and I've always thought it was cool that so many female singers seemed to want to record with him..... Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

No, that was James Ingram who sang "Somewhere Out There" for the "American Tail" soundtrack with Linda Ronstadt. Peabo Bryson's claim to soundtrack music fame came with "A Whole New World" for "Aladdin" with Regina Belle and "Beauty and the Beast" with Celine Dion. [Edited 8/14/07 23:05pm] THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. I'm not a big fan of Peabo Bryson's music, but he occasionally made some very solid songs. One of my favorites is a near-perfect cover of Al Wilson's hit, "Show and Tell." Another song that hasn't been named is the hit "Can You Stop the Rain?" -- Bryson's two No. 1 singles on the Billboard R&B Singles charts as a solo artist.
Other songs of note of which I was not a fan but are noteworthy: Bryson also did a decent cover of The Doobie Brothers' "Minute by Minute" in 1980. And then there is his 1984 hit "If Ever You're in My Arms Again," a MOR song that reached the top 10 in the soul, pop and AC-related charts. Peabo Bryson is an amazing vocalist, but I've never been crazy about his music.I do like a few songs here and there...
"Lovers After All" with Melissa Manchester (1980) "Good Combination" (1986) "Can You Stop The Rain" (1991) I don't like those big, sappy, pop ballads ("If Ever You're In My Arms Again"..."A Whole New World") that he likes to do. [Edited 8/15/07 0:14am] | |
