This is the original The Marvelettes, along w/ other girl groups at Motown, were overshadowed by The Supremes... Nothing against them, but The Marvelettes were my fave  [Edited 8/23/07 0:46am] | |

Besides Marvin's '70's output, I think that's one of the sexiest songs to come out of Motown. There's something about that song and "Don't Mess With Bill" that's really sultry and kind of dark.

WOW! I love the post and YES! The Marvelettes should get their DUE! It's about time and i'll be glad when Motown realizes that and release a anthology on The Marvelettes with some unreleased gems...I'm sure there is plenty in the vaults.....Gladys Horton & Wanda Young Rogers were both great singers and this is ONE of my Favs from them. Wanda had a voice that could COO and WOO and ride the groove under Smokey's direction....This one is CLASSIC! | |
