Angela Winbush is so under-rated. She's rumored to be recording again.

Can I dare say that Angela Winbush is one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all friggin' time?! She's so legendary she probably doesn't know it because she's not as talked about as the women of her time (the '80s) and she SHOULD be!

Was she the one that sung "If You Play Your Cards Right", as well? Because, if so, this woman has more classics than I thought. I don't know how many times I have heard odes/nods to this song ("Tupac's Unreleased Track" of the same name and the end of "Aaliyah's Re-make of At Your Best"), but it seems to get some love. Love this music, since back in my High School days. I have the cassettes still... and the Angela Winbush solo album. Great stuff. Hard to find today's music that sounds as beautiful as her voice does back then, or still, today.
I am going to take this album to work today and listen. Harlepolis said: SunnySkies said: I would certainly buy them... btw, have you heard Winbush`s solo albums?
![]() I have them all I def recommend you to get them,,,and ALL of them are great in their own way. Like the Real Thing album, she did a jazzy song called "Precious" with Ron Isley on the background(singin' bass) and she said that she wrote it with Ask Rufus in mind(and another song she wrote for Whitney Houston - can't remember its title). She also shouts Stephanie Mills' name with respect in her version of "I Learned To Respect The Power Of Love"(which is originaly her own written song). So yeah, get the solo stuff. Although the Rene & Angela stuff are something else
