'weekend in the city' vs 'our love to admire'

Vs.

I think we got two serious contenders for 'album of the year' in these two here. For those who want to see it, they're approach to making music is somewhat simmilar (stressing the word 'somewhat')... so which one is better.

a week-end in the city: even though I own 3 copies and recently ordered a 4th, it took me a long time and a couple of listens to get into this one. I think it's lyrically the more accesible of the two, but it has a few 'dead' moments on it (not much, but a few)...'I still remember' 'hunting for witches' 'prayer' are the highlights for me.

Our love to admire: introduced to interpol by the tv-series 'grounded for life' ("interpol is a band?") biggrin , I bought this one the day it came out and it hasn't left my player since. Loved it from the first note to the last chord. Given, it will be a long time before I'll be able to sing along to any song on this one, but that was never the intention anyway. Great album all the way through.

conclusion: my vote goes to OLTA - interpol.
It was not in vain...it was in Minneapolis!
