what about janet... I have been banned from a janet board because they thought i talked always has something negative to say about her....

I joined the janet' forum to complain about janet... because thats the only forum where fans really care about janet... so why come here and complain when i can do it on a JANET FORUM.... lol lol

Um, I don't know. Why come here and tell us we're haters and not real Janet fans because some of us didn't think 20YO wasn't a friggin' masterpiece or weren't back flipping over her last three releases?

I can't say 20 Y.O was a master piece... i don't think it was... but it was the old school janet you guys claimed you like so much... that was my argument...
For the record i said i didn't like Damita JO.. i said that 20 YO was better.. and you guys give Beyonce a chance more then janet... which i would be unfair for any artist...

I don't care if you guys hate janet.... its Not me that your hating... so do what you want lol

Too late. You've already revealed at least a preview of your opinions of Elvis in your comments throughout this thread.

Presley and MJ aren't as different as you'd think, you know.

Elvis is dead and MJ looks like death warmed over.
They both have a love of tons of prescription drugs and both completely lost touch with reality.
As they got older, they got more and more hideous looking.
Elvis stopped bathing regularly and with all that cover-up make up MJ has to wear they probably both smell God-awful. But since Elvis has been dead for years, he may have MJ beat in that department. Barely.
Elvis died on the toilet. MJ's career died cause he couldn't stop tonk little boys.
I'd call it a draw.
This is a fun debate.

Well now you're wrong. Michael was accused and found innocent in a court of law.Whereas Elvis IS the biggest pedophile in musical history. Priscilla was 14 years old when he brought her to America and moved her into his home. And please don't post the BS about him not touching her until blah, blah, blah. He DID NOT have sex with Pricilla just like Bill Clinton. And he'd had other little girls too. Here recently, one of his friends was on Larry King talking about it.

Without even bothering to argue with what you are saying I'll just point out one big difference here.
MJ had a very public trial in which many of MJ's faults were revealed.
Elvis never had any huge public scandal on the level of MJ's.
Elvis's faults & follies were revealed after he died.
Elvis didn't live in the celebrity/tabloid world that MJ lives in.
Elvis got off scott free.
MJ has to live with the public scutiny.
You can't really compare which one is less saintly.

I agree that no one on this plane can definitively judge the two men's saintliness [sic]. But, Elvis lived under constant scrutiny. It is a bit unfair for you to say Elvis "got off scott free." He was as scrutinized a figure as the technology of his day would allow. To be sure, modern technology poses different challenges for MJ that Elvis didn't have to face, but let's be clear, Elvis had quite a burden on his hands.

1. I reveal that i know MJ is great
2. I obvious say that michael is a better entertainer...

but i did NOT give all the reasons why i believe elvis doesnt deserve the credit he is given... and why i don't think elvis has accomplished half of what michael has done...

the only reason why my arguments sound unreasonble... like im some crazy fan.. is because i can't really say what i feel about elvis... because it will offend so many people on this board.... it will be like the thing that will get me banned from this forum...

i have been warned like a billion times... and i think one or two more warnings and im off this place... well atleast i won't be totalalisa anymore lol lol lol lol we know everyone on here has like two accounts... LOLOLOL

Well I prefer Michael by far but he's my fave artist so I put him above any and everybody but I really am not gonna get into this Elvis vs. MJ discussion too much. I think Elvis was very talented. He had one of the greatest voices i've ever heard-I mean his voice cannot be denied. As for his personal life though, that's a whole different story.

All I'll say is that people are very hypocritical when it comes to the personal lives of MJ and Elvis but ah well I don't expect people to be too open minded and look at the facts when it comes to MJ, they prefer to go along with the masses and tabloids instead of researching the facts but it's whatever. Both men are very talented and I'll just leave it at that.
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

Okay maybe scott free was a bit overboard.
But Elvis never had to go thru the public humiliation & airing of his problems.
The dirt started flying about Elvis after he died.
The dirt about MJ is out there & he has to deal with it.
In Elvis's day the media didn't throw darts at celebrities like they do now.

If you want to compare entertainer to entertainer then you are probably right - MJ is/was a greater entertainer.
But the fact of the matter is Elvis was the first rock superstar.
While those who come after may eclipse Elvis - Elvis was the first.
And that MJ can never touch.
No matter how many hit singles or the best selling album of all time or record breaking concerts or a bigger world wide audience - Elvis was the first superstar. MJ may be bigger & greater but he wasn't the first rock superstar.
Never will be. He is great & unique in his own way.

20 YO wasn't a freakin' masterpiece and this is coming from someone who truly loves her. 20 did however, have so strong singles on there. Allot of which sounds awhole lot better than most of the crap played on radio today. She suffered due to lack of support from her record company amongst other things. She's my favorite female entertainer. MJ is my favorite male entertainer, then PRINCE. Now, this Elvis vs. MJ thing is well, it's inevitable. MJ's music far exceeds race, color religion, geographic boundaries as well as culture, that's a fact. Elvis was good. Pretty good, the media makes him out to be more than he truly was as far as reaching the masses of people who loves' music another fact. I may be the minority on THIS one, but one way MJ truly stuck it to Elvis fans as well as his legacy was to marry his daughter. Now, if that's not given them the middle finger, I don't know what is. Oh and to add insult to injury, he owns some of his music too. DAYUM!!! Both artist are influential.
Only, one artist is forced on the public while the other isn't. We don't know what MJ's next move will be or when his cd is coming out. It's a good thing. He knows how to let folks miss him. The guardians of Elvis's estate doesn't.

it's bad enough we got mj vs. elvis....did you really have to mention him too? confused
